Chase away the blues with these fun events that are perfect for spending the post-National Day weekend.

Legends of Love
Cheng Zhangyi's "Ariadne's Love", Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major" and Rimsky-Korsakov's "Scheherazade Op. 35" are just some of the tunes you can look forward to hearing from the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra under music director Adrian Tan. On top of that, you have performances from pianist Albert Lin and The Singers Vocal Ensemble too. 12 Aug, 8pm. Singapore Chinese Orchestra Concert Hall. Tickets from $14.

Mainstage performance of "Lanes and Memories"
Combine photography and dance to the theme of spaces and memories, recollections and perspectives, and what do you get? This unique interdisciplinary creative project. The dance segment is choreographed by dance artist Linnea Ong in collaboration with visual artist Tang Ling Nah. 11 Aug, 5pm & 8pm. Odyssey Dance Theatre. Free admission.

As In Dream
Songs like "The Buoyant Clouds", "As In Dream" and "Breaking Dawn" come alive under Ding Yi Music Company's soloist Chua Yew Kok, who makes use of the pipa (a Chinese orchestral instrument) for a different and wholesome sound. 11 Aug, 7.30pm. Esplanade Recital Studio. Tickets are $28 each.

Spotlight on Czech Films
Forget those Hollywood blockbusters for now and catch four intriguing Czech movies instead. Long Live the Family! Dark Blue World, The Karamazov Brothers and Kawasaki's Rose lead up to the Spotlight Singapore Young Entrepreneurs Series 2012 in Bratislava and Prague. 11-12 Aug, various times. The Arts House.
