In Concert with See Ian Ike & Miyuki Washimiya, Summer Roses Violin and Piano Recital
Looking for a quiet evening? Catch NAC Overseas Arts scholar and violinist See Ian Ike — and award-winning Japanese pianist Miyuki Washimiya — as they perform moving tunes such as Bach's "E Major Partita" and "Chaconne", Ravel's "Violin Sonata", and Brahm's elegant "Violin Sonata No. 2". 18 Aug, 7.30pm. Rachmaninov: The First Concerto
The Independent has described Russian musician Yevgeny Sudbin as "a pianist of uncommon sensitivity and refinement". With two excerpts from Rachmaninov's first opera, Aleko, in his repertoire, he will surely aim to impress the Singapore audience. 18 Aug, 7.30pm. Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets from $15.

Music —Man II World Tour 2012
Taiwan-based, American singer Wang Leehom will set out to dazzle fans with electrifying visual, lighting and multimedia effects, breath-taking stage props such as a battle tank, adrenaline pumping material arts sequence, sizzling dance choreography. The Mandopop superstar will display his musical prowess by performin on an array of instruments like the zither, piano, Er-hu, violin, electric guitar and more. 18 Aug. 8pm. Singapore Indoor Stadium. "Voices Clear and True" launch
The local theatre scene will benefit from new blood, as the first in a series of play collections by the Checkpoint Theatre — which features the promising work of Singapore playwrights Christine Chong, Kenneth Chong, Lucas Ho, Dan Koh, Cheryl Lee, Laremy Lee, Faith Ng and Shiv Tandan — will now be available on print. 18 Aug, 7.30pm.
