Fans of alternative hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes will be glad to know that the band is set to perform in Singapore this coming August.

Performing in the city-state for the second time since their debut showcase in 2007, the four-member band -- comprising of frontman Travie McCoy, Matt McGinley, Disashi Lumumba-Kasongo and Eric Roberts -- is recognised for their unique hybrid of rock, R&B and funk melodies.

The band catapulted to international stardom with their catchy hit "Cupid's Chokehold", which went on to garner the honour of being the number one single of 2006. Other chart-topping tunes the band has produced include "Clothes' Off!" and "Cookie Jar".

The American group has also worked with Maroon 5's Adam Levine to produce "Stereo Hearts", which has since sold over three million copies and become one of the biggest songs of 2011.

Their latest releases include "Ass Back Home" and "The Fighter" from their fifth studio album "The Papercut Chronicles II".

"Gym Class Heroes: Live in Singapore" will be held on 10 August 2012, 8pm at Wavehouse, Sentosa. Tickets are sold at S$85 (includes one free drink) and are available at all SISTIC counters.
