Walk Off The Earth (L-R): Joel Cassady, Gianni Luminati, Sarah Blackwood, Ryan Marshall, Mike Taylor.
Remember the five-piece indie band that famously covered Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know", while sharing only one guitar?
Known as Walk Off The Earth (WOTE), they will be performing in Singapore on Thursday, 16 August, for a one night only concert at Powerhouse at St. James Power Station.
The band of multi-instrumentalists from Canada gained popularity for their unique covers of Adele, Maroon 5, LMFAO and of course, Gotye.
To date, their video of Gotye's song has garnered more than 132 million views since it was uploaded to the video sharing site in January.
WOTE, comprising of Gianni Luminati, Sarah Blackwood, Ryan Marshall, Mike Taylor and Joel Cassady, got further exposed to mainstream audiences when popular talk show host Ellen DeGeneres invited the quintet to perform "Somebody That I Used to Know" on her show later that same month -- also on one guitar.
They've released two original studio albums -- "Smooth Like Stone On a Beach" in 2007 and "My Rock" in 2010 -- and both were recorded and produced by bandmember Luminati in his private studio.
Walk Off The Earth will be performing at Powerhouse at St. James Power Station on Thursday, 16 August 2012 at 7pm.
Tickets for the show + a meet a greet are S$88, while tickets for the show alone are S$68. You can get order your tickets here.
