24 Hours with ... AFF Director Tjin Lee
The woman in charge gives us backstage access to Audi Fashion Festival

The local fashion industry is abuzz this week from all the excitement of Audi Fashion Festival 2012. But before the fashionistas head to the shows and the models take to the catwalks in the designers' creations, an unimaginable amount of work needs to be done to set the stage right.

AFF director and the woman in charge of putting up a flawless show Tjin Lee gives us backstage access to undeniably the biggest fashion event to look forward to all year.

9am: We're almost approaching opening night, and preparation for AFF continues as we begin sending out the invite cards for the 14 shows featuring the best designers.

9:30am: The PR team plays one of the most crucial roles in AFF, and I hold a PR Meeting with the team hosting the regional media, one day before they are due to arrive.

10am: And now it's the models turn to start their day. Today, they are shooting for Future Fashion Now, an online fashion portal that will let consumers place their orders for the latest runway designs and pre-collections online.

2pm: After hearing much about Nicola Formichetti's love for pandas, we decided to create a Panda Pack to welcome the panda enthusiast to Singapore!

4pm: I head over to Audi Star Creation, the regional fashion design competition to spot budding talent. It's a tough competition as judges deliberate to crown this year's top young Asian fashion talent and aid them in launching their ambitions as a top designer.

7pm: Afterwards, it's back to the office with the Audi Fashion Exchange ladies, Joyce and Soh Chin, as we plan the itineraries of the regional media arriving in the coming week.

9pm: Rehearsal time! It's leggy beauties galore as the backstage crowds with models from around the world at AFF ground zero Tent@Orchard.

10pm: And here's a model being fitted in the Runway Room for the [local fashion designer] a.w.o.l show.

11:30pm: It might be almost midnight but Festival Producer Jeremy and designer Alfie Leong of a.w.o.l are still hard at work. And that's just another day behind the scenes at AFF!
