14 Jul – It was reported that 2NE1 have decided to cancel their Mnet's "M! Countdown" comeback stage that was earlier scheduled for 12 July.
Koreaboo website reported that YG Entertainment made the announcement that the group will not be performing due to the passing of Minzy's great aunt.
A representative of YG Entertainment stated, "Minzy wants to be there to send off her great aunt. Staff members at the broadcasting companies were very understanding and allowed us to cancel our appearance for this week."
However, Minzy's great aunt, Gong Ok Jin, who is famous for being a pioneer in Korean cultural dance, passed away recently due to chronic illness. Her funeral will be attended by colleagues and members of the Korean classical music and culture and is planned to span four days.
2NE1 made their comeback with a new track "I Love You" On 5 July and have already started their promotional activities beginning with SBS' "Inkigayo" on 8 July.
