15 Jun – YG Entertainment's funky girl group 2NE1 will be South Korea's very first girl group to be holding a world tour, calling it "New Evolution".
According to Kpopstarz website, their agency YG Entertainment stated, "2NE1 will be holding a two day concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium on 28 and 29 July. They plan to kick off the tour in Korea before heading to America, Europe, and other countries, visiting 10 cities in 7 countries."
The group – helmed as "The Best Rookie Group" by MTV Iggy last year will be working together with Live Nation, the same company that is currently running Big Bang's world tour.
YG rep added, "2NE1's world tour, 'New Evolution' will be presented with more advanced performances and members' skills, just as their world tour title states. Right now there are 10 cities in 7 countries planned. However, at the request of foreign officials after hearing about the world tour news, we will be adding more cities."
