2PM to Release New Single in Japan on June 6

2PM plans to show off the ‘beauty of the beasts’ with its upcoming Japan single album Beautiful.


A rep from 2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment told enews on May 3, “2PM will be promoting actively its single album to be released in Japan on June 6.”

The single Beautiful was first released as the background music for the commercial of Sempio’s black drinking vinegar, which is currently airing in Japan, and managed to top charts in Recochoku, Japan’s biggest ringtone download site, on April 17, even before its release.

The album will also include a track that member Junho penned, titled If You are Here.

A DVD of 2PM’s first Arena tour, which brought in 100,000 people, will be released on the same day as the album, and on June 16, 2PM plans to hold a high-five touch event in Japan.

2PM was said to be the rookie with the most promising future after winning the New Artist of the Year Award at the 2012 Japan Golden Disk Awards, and is being loved for its appearances in NHK’s Korean-teaching program, the black drinking vinegar commercial and a steady spot on a Tokyo MX show. Nichkhun is also enjoying a big bout of popularity for his appearance in the film Ouran High School Host Club.

In late May 2PM will hold its Budokan 6 Days concert.
