Actress Jun Ji Hyun has expressed her thoughts on the movie ‘The Thieves’ surpassing the 10 million mark recently.
It was announced on August 16th, that 338,199 viewers watched ‘The Thieves’ yesterday, bringing to total of 10,096,957 who have watched the movie thus far since July 25th.
In just 22 days, ‘The Thieves’ have joined the list of Korean movies that have surpassed the 10 million mark like ‘The Host’, ‘The King and the Clown’, ‘Tidal Wave’, ‘Silmido’ and many more.
Jun Ji Hyun expressed, “Many thanks to everyone for their support for ‘The Thieves’. It feels like a dream. Yet another Korean movie that has surpassed the 10 million mark. It makes me feel that viewers still support Korean movies and the pull of Korean movies hasn’t diminished.
‘The Thieves’ is about a team of 10 professional thieves from Korea and China who team up to steal a rare and famous diamond called ‘Diamond Tears’ from a Macau casino. Jun Ji Hyun plays the role of Nicole Ye who is a professional thief that believes ‘money is more important than friendship’ and has won praise from viewers for her portrayal.
