26 Aug - Hong Kong actress Annie Man gave birth to a baby girl through Caesarean section on 20 August at the Canossa Hospital in Hong Kong.
According to Jayne Stars, the 36-year-old mother insisted for a regional anaesthesia so that she could witness the delivery, even though she was advised for a general anaesthesia because she had a cough on that day.
"For the one hour surgery, I did not cough at all. I am so blessed! When I saw the baby, I was very touched. I witnessed the birth of a life. Life is so marvelous! " she wrote on her Weibo after the delivery.
Annie's husband Jason Lee was also present to record the birth on video and cut the umbilical cord of his daughter. He then thanked his wife for enduring the birthing process.
The couple have named their child, Jamie, who weighted at 5 pounds and 11 ounces, who is reportedly as petite as her mother, but resembles the features of her father.
"I would like to thank everyone for caring and supporting me and the baby. I will do my best to be a good mother!" Annie also wrote on her Weibo.
She was also visited by actress Angela Tong, who is reportedly pregnant and would be getting married at the end of this year.
