8 Feb – Chinese Entertainment Shanghai's President, Cai Yinong, recently slammed mainland actor Lin Gengxin for his statement regarding his absence from the upcoming sequel of hit 2011 drama, "Bu Bu Jing Xin".
As reported on Jayne Stars, Cai Yinong sent a private Weibo message to the actor, criticising and calling him a liar. A Weibo user who claimed to be a friend of a director from Hunan Satellite TV, posted a screenshot of the message, in which the President stated, "How can a person lie so blatantly? I met up with Lin over coffee in October. I invited him to act in "Bu Bu Jing Xin 2". He said he is not very interested and later even brought up that he wanted to terminate the contract."
He continued, "At the end of October, he came to our company to discuss about his contract termination. I asked him to help me think of an explanation to the team. He told me he will film in the sequel in exchange for the termination! What he told me and what he subsequently told the media are so different. Do I need to stand out to clarify? I have been so tolerant. If you're going to continue doing so many evil deeds, you're not going to end up well!"
Earlier, Lin Gengxin, who made a name for himself through his role as the fourteenth prince in the original drama, was asked about his absence from the sequel. The actor denied that he is in a conflict with his management company, Chinese Entertainment Shanghai and stated that he did not receive any offer to play a role in the drama's sequel.
Meanwhile, asked about Gengxin's alleged intention to terminate his contract, Teng Jingshu, Vice President of Chinese Entertainment Shanghai, claimed he did not see the reports and stressed, "Lin Gengxin's contract will only end in 2020."
Regarding the report that Gengxin did not receive the scripts yet, Teng Jingshu explained, "We have yet to confirm the list of actors for the sequel, so we have not made it known to public."
