If there's one thing that's guaranteed to get Grazia Daily giddy it's a fancy wedding so we're most grateful to Natalie Portman who got hitched to her ballet beau this weekend. The stunnning actress walked up the aisle to Benjamin Millepied - y'know, the hawt dancer she met during the filming of Black Swan - during a Jewish ceremony on Saturday evening. The festivities took place at a private residence in the cliff-side California coastal town of Big Sur, with the couple tying the knot beneath a chuppah while A-list guests including Macaulay Culkin watched on. Sounds fab to us.
But what of the DRESS? Well, we've seen sneaky snaps of Lady Portman (which we're strictly forbidden from posting here, soz) and we can confirm it's as dreamy as we could've hoped. We're talking a classic white frock in a '50s stylee, full-skirted with a nipped in waist and a midi hemline (yep, no floor-sweepers for Nat). The sleeves are long and sheer and the design is fuss-free. As for the veil, Natalie sported a delicate flounce of chiffon at the back of her head which reached her lower back and was accented by a floral headband worn over loose brunette waves. We sigh. The look was topped off with a classic pair of nude heels.
Considering NP is the face of Dior (the latest ad for Diorskin Nude range has just been released, in fact) us Graziettes are placing our bets on the wedding gown coming courtesy of the French fashion house. You'll remember the actress chose a red strapless Dior dress for the Oscar Awards earlier this year - a Couture number created way back in 1954. Might the blushing bride have done the same for her wedding day, opting for another vintage stunner? The silhouette is certainly similar in its timeless elegance.
Or maybe Natalie turned to the handy work of designer-of-the-moment Raf Simons? Her gorgeous wedding dress does bear a striking resemblance to the Simons-created gowns presented on Dior's couture catwalk last month. As Grazia's Paula Reed said at the time, the Simons-for-Dior silhouette is fuss-free and buzzing with a youthful energy, making it perfect for a modern day bride and Dior muse.
