Fall beauty forecast

She’s one of the UK’s hottest make-up artists with a client list that reads like a who’s-who of the celebrity world.

So, who better to give a fall make-up forecast than beauty maverick Jackie Tyson, who has preened the likes of Sienna Miller and Katy Perry to name but a few.

“With the dark nights drawing in, it’s time to reach for the woollies and as our outfits change with the seasons, so should our make-up,” she advises.

Here are Jackie’s top tips for luminous beauty this fall.

Skin:

Skin is drier with colder weather and central heating so I tend towards more moisturising bases.

And as this season’s trend is towards paler skin you could try a lighter base such as Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, which gives skin an even tone and a lovely matte finish.

In my make-up school we teach the latest trends, and as I always preach to my students, great make-up starts with great skin. Mmy newest discovery for smooth skin around the eyes is Eysilix, which has really improved my fine lines, making make-up easier to apply and therefore achieving a better finish.

Cheeks:

Blush needs to change with this season - gone is the all over bronzed goddess, replaced with a more delicate cheek.

I love a pink tint as if you have been on a country walk on a frosty morning. Natio Mineral Lip And Cheek Tint delivers this look with a very pretty and translucent pink hue. I apply to the apples of the cheek using the same brush that I had applied the foundation with so it blends easily.

Eyes:

Keep eyes simple this season. I like to contour in the socket line with a long-lasting matte taupe colour, I love MAC Paint Pots and I predict Groundwork and Quite Natural hues will be staples through fall.

Lips:

There is a tendency to go dark on the lips but I prefer a well-groomed and well- moisturised lip for fall. Start with Jurlique Love Balm, a great little skin saver for anywhere that needs a bit of TLC, then push a tiny pop of burgundy lipstick into the centre of the lips and allow it to melt into the balm, for a more wearable take on the winter lip.
