Giorgio Armani has sparked speculation his retrospective will take place during Milan Fashion Week in September.
Earlier this year, the acclaimed designer announced he is planning an exhibition dedicated to his last decade in fashion. It was thought the display would likely happen at a fashion week, with WWD hinting it could take place sooner rather than later.
The publication has seen an early draft of the Milan schedule, which sees Armani’s shows moving from their usual spots. The two presentations are usually staged on Monday morning, but this time they are being put on at 8pm and 9pm on Sunday.
It’s thought this is so Armani’s retrospective can also be launched at the same time.
The exhibit will focus on the designer’s recent collections. He got the idea after looking over his work and realising how exciting some of the pieces are.
It’s thought Gucci will be the first to show at Milan Fashion week, which stars on September 19. Roberto Cavalli, DSquared2 and Jil Sander are thought to be presenting on the final day.© Cover Media
