An event was held at Shinsa-dong, Apgujeong yesterday in celebration of the film “Korea” attaining more than one million ticket sales in theatres since its release a month ago. The film’s lead actors Ha Ji Won and Bae Doo Na attended the event to celebrate the movie’s success with fans.
“Korea” tells the inspirational story of a North-South Korea table tennis women’s duo who joined together to win the gold at the 1991 World Table Tennis Championships.
The two actresses, who play very passionate and determined characters in “Korea”, were no less warm towards their fans at this particular meeting. Many fans were fortunate enough to come into close contact with the actresses as they thanked everyone for the support. The proceeds of the celebration will go towards a charity called CJ Donors Camp.
