A pair of kitchen rubber gloves from your local mart may be a common and inexpensive household item, but when it’s one signed by Kara’s Kang Ji Young, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny!
A recent posting on an online community board revealed a pair of rubber kitchen gloves, which were signed by Kara’s Kang Ji Young, had been sold online in Japan at an auction site. In the end, the winning bid ended up going to an individual who bid an astounding 264,000 Yen (approximately 3,301 U.S. dollars or 3,751,800 won) for the signed pink gloves.
The bidding war was said to be a tight one for the Kang Ji Young gloves and reflected the popularity of the Kara members in the island nation.
Netizens commented on this saying, “Kara’s popularity in Japan know no bounds” and “Wow, after only just one autograph.”
