26 Apr – It was revealed that singer Jay Park is selected to become the ambassador of a b-boy competition.
Allkpop website reported that the singer will be appointed the honorary ambassador for the "R-16 Korea 2012" b-boy competition organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation.
A representative of Korea Tourism Organisation explained the choice by saying, "As a former b-boy dancer turned Hallyu star, we felt that he would be the best person to promote and represent this competition all over the world."
The event is also supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and this year marks the competition's sixth year.
Last year, Jay Park's crew, Art of Movement, had attended the same competition as guest performers. At the time, the organisation had chosen rapper Tiger JK to be the face of the event.
