27 Sep – Fahrenheit's Jiro Wang has been announced "Most Popular Singer" at the 5th Beijing Billboard Music Newcomers Festival, Popular Asians website reported.
The singer was surprised to emerge as the winner and was quoted saying, "My agency didn't tell me anything. They told me to attend it as a guest performer."
The singer recently released a solo debut, "What are you Waiting For?", making a 360 degree with a lot of heavy rock tracks that has a different feel than Fahrenheit's usual pop dance genre.
Meanwhile, when asked about rumours of Fahrenheit's conflict, the singer dismissed it, stating, "We're still good friends. The technology nowadays is very convenient and we always text each other. I really don't like it when the media has to guess our relationship. I don't like to be misunderstood."
