Having just played the villain in SBS ‘Rooftop Prince’ drama recently, actress Jung Yoo Mi will soon be returning to the small screen as the heroine!
Jung Yoo Mi had starred in ‘Rooftop Prince’ as the principal female villain, Se Na and won a lot of praise from viewers for her portrayal.
Her agency, Neos Entertainment, revealed on the 27th that Jung Yoo Mi will become the heroine opposite Kim Hyun Joong in the action thriller, ‘City Conquest’.
Jung Yoo Mi will play the role of Lee Dan Bi who is a jewellery designer and has a straight forward, innocent character.
‘City Conquest’ is an adaptation of the same titled manhwa by Shin Hyung Bin. The story talks of the lead character that develops hatred for his father after he dumps him and his mother. He then plans revenge against society that drove his family to ruins after growing up.
The drama is directed by Yang Yoon Ho who previously directed ‘IRIS’ and writing the script will be Hong Joo Ha who did ‘Lie To Me’.
Jung Yoo Mi’s agency expressed, “To be able to work with such a famous director, and screenwriter, is a real honour for Jung Yoo Mi and she is really looking forward to the filming. She wants to show viewers a different side of her through this drama. She also hopes that the drama will be a success just like her previous one.”
Filming is expected to begin in a few weeks although no television broadcaster has signed on the dotted line to show it on their station as yet.
