‘K-Pop Star’ Winner Park Ji Min Officially JYP Bound

SBS K-Pop Star’s winner, Park Ji Min has officially selected JYP Entertainment as her home to her music career.

On May 21, SBS revealed the decision saying, “Park Ji Min has signed an exclusive contract with JYP and will be looking to release her debut album in the near future. [After contemplation] Park Ji Min concluded her own self best fit the music color of JYP and decided to make a final decision.”

Regarding her casting decision, Park Ji Min shared, “It’s a dream having joined one agency from among [SM, YG and JYP] which even the mention of makes my heart flutter. I’m particularly glad I will be able to receive the detailed coaching of judge Park Jin Young and through this I will do my best in learning to show a new and improved side of myself.”




As for the other competitors of the show SBS said, “In addition to Lee Ha Yi, who competed against Park Ji Min until the end, Baek Ah Yeon, the other top ten and those who were eliminated previously, countless amount of love calls are coming in [for these contestants]. More stars will be created from this than any music audition program so far and we will let you know plenty of good news in the near future.”

After concluding its successful first season, b>K-Pop Star will kick off its second season with entries being collected starting in June. The second season is planned to premiere in November.
