Kate Walsh is a "huge advocate" of adoption.
The 44-year-old star has discussed her views on motherhood. Kate believes adopting a child is a wonderful option for women and hasn't ruled out becoming a parent in the future.
"There are lots of different ways for women to be a mom in this culture. You never know what the world is going to bring," she told Parade.com.
"I know a lot of women talk about [their feeling on becoming a mom] in interviews but I find it an intensely personal thing. So I don't really love to talk about it but I do feel there are so many babies out there and I'm a huge advocate of adoption. So many of my friends have become mothers recently so I get to be this fabulous auntie and godmother to one of my good girlfriend's baby."
The actress stars on the small screen as Dr. Addison Montgomery in Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. Kate says her abundance of pets aren't ideal when it comes to looking glam for her TV appearances.
"After a long time of coming to work every day and entering the make-up trailer with watery eyes and runny nose, I figured I had allergies," she laughed. "I've got four roommates and they all have fur and tails. So between all of those cats and dogs, it's a festival of allergies. Plus the garden, it's a nightmare."
