1 Aug – It was reported that solo singer Kim Bum-soo will be holding an exclusive concert at the New York Carnegie Hall.
According to Kpopstarz website, the singer will be holding his "2012 Kim Bum-soo Concert - Get All Right Showchestra" in New York on 20 October and will be filling at the biggest main hall in the venue, the Stern Auditorium, with 2,400 seats.
Since its opening in 1891, New York's Carnegie Hall is known as the stage of every singer's dream as it rarely opens to popular singers. Among stars that have performed in the venue include The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Mariah Carey.
An official of his agency stated, "K-Pop is currently booming across the world, and the appearance of Korea's greatest vocalist, Kim Bum-soo, at the Carnegie Hall again heightens the status of K-Pop."
They added, "We will make sure he puts together the best performance a Korean singer could."
Kim Bum-soo will be the second Korean male singer to get to perform at the hall after singer Cho Yong-pil. Before Kim, Cho Yong-pil, Patty Kim and Insooni were the only singers that had the opportunity to perform there.
