Kim Ji Suk Gained His First Anti-Fans After Ji Hyun Woo Parody

He meant it as a joke when he parodied Ji Hyun Woo’s confession, but Kim Ji Suk is learning the hard way that not all jokes are funny.

On June 11 during a press conference for his new movie Two Moons, Kim Ji Suk received mixed responses when he parodied Ji Hyun Woo’s public confession by saying “From the beginning of the filming to this point, I loved Park Han Byul.”

His comment has caused an uproar since neither Ji Hyun Woo nor Yoo In Na had publicly said anything at that point.

A couple weeks later on June 21, Kim Ji Suk participated in promotional meeting for Two Moons with reporters in Apgujeong, Seoul, and talked about the incident.

“I was being thoughtless. I didn’t see Ji Hyun Woo’s confession as a joke or was trying to promote my movie. I always said that I liked the actors that I worked with, but the timing was off at that time. I made a big mistake, and because of me, Park Han Byul also had to suffer. I’m very sorry.

The actor added, “I was unable to control the growth of my comment and even gained anti-fans that I never had before. I’m usually a pretty optimistic guy, but after awhile, I couldn’t even look at the articles anymore. I really want to erase everything that has to do with that incident.”

To the new couple, Kim Ji Suk said, “I thought Ji Hyun Woo’s confession was very cool and it’s great to see that he is dating Yoo In Na now. I want to apologize to them once more and I am reflecting on my actions.”

Meanwhile, Two Moons is a story about three people who end up in a mysterious house in the woods. The movie will open on July 12.

Kim Ji Suk is also starring in tvN’s I Need Romance 2.
