4 Jun – It was revealed that SS501's Kim Kyu-jong will be enlisting in the 22-month national service in July.
According to Kpopfever website, the singer announced through his official website that he will be entering the military and left a handwritten letter to his fans, stating the below;
"Hello, this is Kim Kyu-jong. As I've always said, time travels fast, doesn't it? It feels as if I've made my debut yesterday, but it's already June 2012."
This is the first time I've written to you in so long. The reason I am writing this is because I am enlisting in the military in July. I personally wanted to announce this to you. I am very happy, and due to your endless love and support, I have created a lot of good memories. Because of you, my 20s have been very enjoyable."
At the end of his letter, Kim wrote, "Let's meet in two years, and better ourselves till then."
