13 Apr – Kyary Pamyu Pamyu would be making a guest appearance in the Fuji TV drama series "Kazoku no Uta' starring Odagiri Joe.
According to Tokyo Hive, Kyary would be making her acting debut as herself in the first episode of the series where she asks Odagiri's character, Hayakawa, to compose a song for her.
"We definitely wanted Kyary-san, who has a unique worldview and sparkling aura, to appear as the first artist. It turned out to be a really interesting and unique collaboration," said Fuji TV producer Shikanai Tsugi who also revealed that an artist would be guest appearing on each episode of the drama.
"It was fun to get a taste of an atmosphere that's different than usual. I'm very honoured that I got to make an appearance as myself!" said Kyary.
"Kazoku no Uta" is about a former rock-star who is falling on hard times and discovers that he has three daughters. Aside from Odagiri, Yusuke Santamaria, Kanjiya Shihori and Otsuka Nene are also in the cast.
The drama series is expected to begin airing in Japan on 15 April.
