18 Oct – It was reported that actor Lau Siu Ming's wife, Cheung Wai Ling passed away after years of battling cancer.
As reported on Groove Asia website, the 81-year-old actor's wife took her last breath on 12 October with the actor and their closest family at her side. It was reported that Lau Siu Ming has been devastated with the loss and has been accompanied by friends and family ever since.
The late Cheung Wai Ling was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, prompting the veteran TVB actor to retire temporarily from show business and spend most of his time with his wife. The two were also visited frequently by friends from the industry including Damien Lau, Anthony Wong and others.
Mrs. Lau's funeral – a Catholic ceremony will take place at the end of the month in the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Cheung Wai Ling was 72-years-old.
