8 July – Seven months after his supposed withdrawal from the industry, controversial DJ DOC member Lee Ha-neul will be making his TV comeback through Mnet's "Superstar K4".
As reported on KJPopnews, on 4 July, an official from the show revealed that Lee will be appearing as a guest judge on the show's preliminary auditions on 15 and 18 July in Seoul.
The representative explained the reason for choosing Lee Ha-neul as a judge, "Lee Ha-neul has had experience when it comes to judging and he has such good sense. He did well as a judge in the past that the producers of the program decided to propose an offer to the singer, which he accepted."
This will mark Lee Ha Neul's return to the small screen after seven months since his controversy with former DJ DOC member, Park Jung-hwan.
Earlier this year, Lee Ha-neul announced to the media that he will be making a temporary withdrawal from the industry due to a scandal involving the members of DJ DOC. A former member of the group, Park Jung-hwan sued Lee and another member Kim Chang-ryul for calling him "rhythmically challenged" on TV while discussing their member line-up changes in the past.
After his far from serious apology on a radio show, Park Jung-hwan sued Lee the second time. However, courts ruled against Park Jung-hwan during the trial.
