11 May – Japanese singer Otsuka Ai will be celebrating her 9th anniversary since her debut as a solo artist and her birthday by putting on a one-woman live in September.
According to Tokyo Hive, Otsuka announced that she would be performing in three locations under the title "Otsuka Ai LOVE IS BORN ~9th Anniversary 2012~". The first will be held at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on 9 September, a date which also turns out to be her 30th birthday.
The remaining locations are the Kobe International House on 16 September and the Nagoya Congress Center Century Hall on 29 September.
"It's been decided that I'll be holding 'LOVE IS BORN ~9th Anniversay 2012~'! It's been awhile since I held a live," announced Otsuka.
This would be her first solo live in two years.
Otsuka actually made her debut on 10 September 2003 with the single "Momo no Hanabira" which was a day after her birthday.
Since her debut, the 'LOVE IS BORN' anniversary concert has been an annual event for the "Sakuranbo" hit singer, which has been held in Tokyo, Osaka and Taiwan.
