The York Hotel’s Penang Buffet has returned. From 31 August to 16 September, you can indulge in unlimited servings of Char Kway Teow, Penang Prawn Mee, Penang Laksa, Lor Bak, Penang Rojak, Cuttlefish Kang Kong, Oyster Omelette, Kway Teow Soup and Kway Teow Dry.
As always, the hawkers will be flown in from Penang to prepare these dishes. Besides the savouries, there will also be desserts like the paper-thin Ban Chang Kueh (drawing the longest queue) as well as Chendol.
The popular buffet, which began in 1986, happens thrice a year and lasts for two weeks each time. Diners have been known to wait at least an hour for a table, as the cafe does not accept reservations.
The hotel will also be holding a lucky draw, and the prizes include accommodation and meal vouchers.
