Will Shinhwa have its own museum in the future?

Appearing on Mnet’s Yoon Do Hyun’s Must on May 5, Lee Min Woo shared, “In 10 years, I want a museum that showcases Shinhwa’s achievements.” To which the other members joked, “Then should we leave our bones or be stuffed? Or even mummified?”


But Lee Min Woo’s wish isn’t something that should be completely ruled out.
Shinhwa is a group that has been maintained for 14 years as an idol group, something that had previously seemed impossible. No matter how strong a friendship is, keeping a group for 14 years isn’t a simple feat. Even while being part of different companies, the members of Shinhwa have made it a mission to protect the group.

On this day, the thing that attracted the most attention was the members’ strong affection towards Shinhwa. Upon being asked about what they hope for in the next ten years, the members all replied without question, “To be performing as a Shinhwa member.” Lee Min Woo also said, “If the museum is too difficult, I want to be create a ‘Shinhwa Concert Hall,’ where we can perform and reminiscence about the past.”

About Min Woo’s special wish, MC Yoon Do Hyun added, “Musicians with a lot of success do end up making museums.” Shinhwa is the oldest idol group that has stayed active. It may not be the most welcoming title, but as a role model to the juniors in the industry, it has become a special achievement. The existence of the group is an achievement in itself. It just may be possible that Lee Min Woo’s Shinhwa Museum will become a reality in ten years.
