19 Oct – Despite already making amends with actor Anthony Wong due to a misunderstanding between Wong and his fans, it was recently revealed that Taiwanese singer-actor, Show Luo was agitated by Wong's latest statement about the latter.
As reported on Groove Asia website, the 51-year-old outraged Luo's fans when he used an analogy to describe Show's relationship with his fans, indirectly suggesting that they are 'flies' that flock to the 'dung'.
The trivial spat started in June, when a self-professed Jay Chou fan described Show Luo's action of kissing his mother a form of "incest". In a turn of events, Jay Chou's godfather and Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong became the subject of Luo's enraged fans, when he asked on his microblog, "Who is Show Luo?"
The actor later corrected his post by claiming to know Xiao Zhu (Show's nickname) but not the name "Show Luo" which did not appease the fans much.
After hearing about the incident, Show expressed his apologies to the veteran actor twice and calming his fans, by saying that "It is only normal that he does not know who I am. I have yet to act in any movies before."
However, following Show's apology, Anthony wrote on his microblog claiming that he does not have and does not need fans, expressing, "What I have are friends and everyone is equal. I don't need people worshipping me. Does it make sense for a cool idol to have such idiotic fans?"
The 33-year-old singer who was taken aback by Wong's reply, made an official response to defend his fans, saying bluntly, "I respect everyone. But I love my fans and they are not flies!"
