Sistar’s Hyolyn Defends her Wide Forehead

After getting taunted and made fun of for her saucer-sized forehead,, Sistar’s Hyolyn has finally stood up to defend herself.

On June 13, Hyolyn appeared on MBC’s Radio Star with Kim Wan Sun and Bada for a ‘Three Generation Diva Singers’ special.

There, Hyolyn confidently claimed, “My forehead is not that big.”

“I heard that there are pictures on the internet comparing my forehead with Wang Fei-Hung (from the movie Once Upon a Time in China).” Hyolyn said, “But my forehead is not that big and the picture just came out weird.”

The singer even lifted her bangs to prove it. “I don’t have a large forehead like Frankenstein.”

When the question of why she always covers her forehead with bangs came up, the singer replied, “There are plenty of idol singers who have bangs, but I’m just getting picked on. Once I even asked my company to set up a press conference so I can defend myself about my forehead.”

She said that in order to keep an idol image, she’ll keep the bangs, but once she receives camera massage (learning which angles, make up, and lighting makes a face look pretty on camera), she’ll return to the stage with her bangs pulled back.

Hyolyn ended her rant by saying, “A wide forehead means the heart is large too. I hope people can see me as a person with a large heart,” creating laughter in the studio.
