This year’s “2012 Dream Concert” took place two days at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, attracting thousands of fans from all over the world to watch a star-studded line up in action. This year’s performing acts included SNSD, 2PM, Sistar, Miss A, 2AM, MBLAQ, Secret, IU, BEAST, 4Minute, INFINITE, TEEN POP, T-ara, Kara, ZE:A, Davinchi, Ailee and EXO-K and many others.
The MC’s for the concert this year were Taec Yeon of 2PM, Han Seung Yeon of Kara and Lim Si Wan of ZE:A. In particular, Taec Yeon and Seung Yeon have had previous experience in hosting events on various SBS TV programs, and were completely comfortable with presenting at the “Dream Concert”.
What started up as a project by the Korean tourism board in 1995 to inspire young people to dream big has now evolved into one of the biggest and most famous annual national music concerts in Korea. Every year, the biggest names in the music industry will participate in the event, attracting not only a large fan base in Korea, but also abroad.
The organizers of this year’s “Dream Concert” stated that the proceeds generated would be donated to needy children.
