13 Oct – With her pregnancy entering its final trimester, Singapore's singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun has been following a tight routine to prepare for the arrival of her first child.
Groove Asia reported that the 34-year-old, who has gained 12 kg from the pregnancy, has been hitting the gym and pool on a regular basis. The singer recently updated her Twitter with the news of her condition, stating that she has been sweating at the gym and joking that she looked like a "turtle on the treadmill".
Sun wrote, "I woke up at 3am. This is called "animalistic maternal instinct" and apparently it is something that happens to those pregnant, to guard against nocturnal predators."
Sun also revealed her latest fixation with baby smells and enthused, "Yes, I am very excited! I am waiting to welcome the baby with strong open arms."
Meanwhile, Stefanie's spokesperson Xu Pei Yun told the media that the expecting singer been attending many pre-natal courses lately. When asked about the gender, Xu revealed that Sun and family have already known the gender but are keeping mum about it.
The singer married Dutch-Indonesian senior executive at Aviva, Nadim Van Der Ros, 34, in May 2011 after being in a relationship for five years. This will be her first pregnancy.
