T-ARA’s Eunjung withdrawal from SBS drama ‘Five Fingers’ is uncertain

Confusion has surfaced once again after T-ARA’s Eunjung management agency, Core Contents Media expressed that they have never received any notification regarding Eunjung’s withdrawal from upcoming SBS weekend drama ‘Five Fingers’.

The production company for ‘Five Fingers’ had stated earlier today that they had decided on Eunjung’s withdrawal from the drama after an emergency meeting yesterday.

Core Contents Media has however denied the reports that Eunjung was taken out of the drama. A representative from CCM expressed, “Until yesterday, Eunjung was still rehearsing her lines and learning the piano for the drama. She also attended the press conference and had received part of her contract money. Until now, we have yet to receive any word from the production company nor SBS regarding Eunjung’s withdrawal.”

SBS TV expressed, “We have not received any notification regarding Eunjung’s withdrawal from the drama. We are still trying to understand what has happened.”

Eunjung had been cast as Hong Da Mi who would develop a triangle relationship with Joo Ji Hoon and Ji Chang Wook. She was to have started filming today but with the sudden news of her withdrawal, both Core Contents Media and SBS TV are finding it a bit incredulous.

Some have speculated that Eunjung’s withdrawal was that the production company was afraid that the recent controversy and negativity surrounding T-ARA lately, would affect the drama’s advertising pull (PPL = product placement). So they decided on letting Eunjung leave and replace her with another actress around the same age range.

Among those being considered as Eunjung’s replacement are Jin Se Yun and Park Eun Bin although nothing has been considered yet as of writing.
