Tony Leung wants happier roles

10 Sep – Hong Kong actor Tony Leung is wishing that he could take a lighter role in the future after having appeared in several heavier toned movies recently, according to Jayne Stars.

"The Silent War" star shared that it was unhealthy for him to be unhappy emotionally when he gets into character for three to four months during the shoot, and is looking to play a role that would lighten his mood for a while.

"Actually, everyone wants to be happy right? When I am young, I prefer more serious roles, be it happy or unhappy scenes which shows disparity in the acting. As I grow older, I am mellower and wish to be happier and do not need those solemn characters. It has to do with maturity and nothing else," he said.

Tony strongly believes in gaining happiness without pressure, whether it is by doing activities such as jogging, playing tennis, yachting, dining with friends or even having a simple meal on noodles.

When asked if he would want to act in a comedy with his wife, he said: "Please don't! It's a bit awkward; it's kind of strange to act together!"
