TVXQ sets a new record on Oricon Weekly Chart with 'Catch Me - If You Wanna'

TVXQ has written themselves into the history books once again in Japan with a new record on the Oricon Chart.

The Oricon Chart which is the most recognized music chart in Japan, announced on January 22nd that TVXQ's new Japanese single album 'Catch Me - If You Wanna' which was released on the 16th, had topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. And with that, TVXQ has topped the Weekly Chart for 12 times, which is a new and best record ever for foreign artists.

Oricon made the announcement through its website (http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/rankmusic/2020854/full) on January 22nd and stated, "TVXQ tops the Weekly Singles Chart for the 12th time! They also set a new and best record for foreign artists!"

Besides topping the Weekly Singles Chart for the 12 time, TVXQ also made it to the top 10 of the chart for the 28th time. This feat begun with their 7th single 'Sky' released back in August of 2006. The milestone has now seen them becoming the first foreign artist to have topped the singles chart the most number of times, as well as having the most number of songs in the Top 10 of the charts.

Meanwhile, TVXQ will be releasing their new album 'Time' on March 6th, and also begin their Japan concert tour from April 27th which will see them perform in cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Saitama, Sapporo, and Nagoya.
