1 Sept – It was reported that the creators of "Haeundae Lovers" have finally taken a stance concerning the controversy regarding T-ARA's So-yeon and have decided to reduce the singer's acting debut appearance in the KBS drama.
According to Kpopstarz, during a press conference for "Haeundae Lovers" on 24 August, the drama's writer, Hwang Eun-kyung stated, "Right before the production meeting, we were caught off guard by the sudden controversy surrounding T-ARA members. So-yeon had already completed filming five episodes at the time, and since the truth is still unclear, we couldn't make any decisions about her status in the drama."
Hwang continued saying that it is obvious now that the controversy has affected the drama so So-yeon's appearance will be reduced in future episodes.
She also begged the group's agency, Core Contents Media, to be wiser in their decisions, saying, "So-yeon is young and she's probably going through a rough time because of the situation and the harsh reaction from the public. I personally hope that the agency shows more consideration and care as So-yeon is currently doing her best not to cause harm to the drama."
Hwang concluded by saying that the most important thing for her is to protect her work and actors and hoped that the controversy will not affect those are not involved with the bullying controversy.
