I do go to Sembawang for the white bee hoon. Beginning it is cheap and the portion is big. But now, may be it is popular, the portion is smaller and pricely.

This whte bee hoon is tasty in the beginning when i started eating it in July this year...buti found that there is not much ingredient or substances in the bee hoon. It is also pricey....

I'm ancient enough to remember Sembawang when the best eating was at an outdoor stand, most often a variety of Nasi Goreng, and the dinner guests included roaches. Lovely!

I was told to try the meehoon by a taxi driver and to be honest, it is nothing special . For the size of the food served, it is very very pricey. Taste so so only. Not value for money. Any zhi char stall can do better.

Just browse the rest of the adverts & here is one:

This 24-hour Halal joint is a popular supper haunt for many Sembawang residents, and is always bustling even in the wee hours with chatty teenagers and office overtimers winding down with a late-night meal. D’Rubinah’s most popular dish is probably their roti prata, which has a good mixture of crispiness and chewiness, and is always delivered warm and toasty along with piping hot curry gravy. 52 Sembawang Road, open daily 24 hours (Prata not available from 12pm – 4pm)

Don't say that! When FOOD is concern; it's UNIVERSAL. We are meant to share. It's only where to find GOOD ONES.

How much they paid Yahoo for these advertisements?

portion is getting smaller and lesser ingredients used but more MSG than ever!
    • Georgie Best  •  5 months ago
chicken rice, char kway teow, Gurney Drive penang laksa, Ipoh hor fun, nasi briyani.. all hawker fares, 1 item meals. I didn't realize how poorly I ate in SG, until I started working in China.
in CN, the standard family meal 家常菜comprise 4 dishes & 1 soup for about Sing$25 all in. if you cook similar at home, ingredients & meats cost no more than $10; downed with Qingdao beer @ Sing80cents per 600ml bottle.. no CESS or GST necessary..
