Sting to stage one-night gig in S’pore on Dec 13

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sting will perform in Singapore on December 13 at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The ex-The Police frontman and legendary bass player will be performing stripped-down versions of his greatest volume of hits with just a five-piece backing band.

Tickets for his "Back to Bass" world tour range between S$98 and $248.

The English singer-songwriter-cum-actor, 60, forged a successful solo career after leaving the Police  with a string of hits including "Fields of Gold", "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You", "When We Dance" and "All This Time".

Kicking off his world tour in November in Strasbourg, France, the multiple Grammy winner will head to Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Turkey and Russia before heading to Singapore on December 13.

Priority booking will be available to American Express Cardmembers from September 12 (Wednesday) at 10am till September 13 (Thursday) at 10pm, subject to availability. Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the public beginning September 14 (Friday), 10am at www.sistic.com.sg.  Members of the Sting fan club may purchase tickets in advance of the general public at www.sting.com.
