7 May – Korean idol group Big Bang has another MTV win and this time it's in Italy.

As Kpopstarz reported, the group of five won the "Best Fan" category of the TRL Awards that was held in Florence, Italy.

Despite not being in Italy to receive the award, Big Bang's Tae-yang updated his Twitter account to personally thank their fans. YG Entertainment also shared, "We are very happy and honoured to have won an award at MTV TRL Awards. We want to thank all of our worldwide fans for their continuous support for Big Bang."

Other artistes in the category included international stars such as Avril Lavigne and One Direction. The voting was held online through MTV Italy's official homepage from 22 March to 5 May.

Previously, Big Bang attended MTV's Europe Music Awards in Belfast and was awarded the "Best Worldwide Act."

Meanwhile, the group will be meeting 150,000 Japanese fans through their Arena Tour that will kick off on 17 May that will be held in Nagoya, Osaka, Saitama, and Fukuoka.
