Bradley Cooper is feeling “overwhelmed” ahead of the Oscars.
The star features in the best actor category for his performance in Silver Linings Playbook, where he portrays a man battling bipolar disorder and the breakdown of his marriage. The hit comedy drama received an impressive eight nominations at this year’s Academy Awards, including best picture and nods for Bradley’s co-stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Jacki Weaver.
Bradley, 38, says the movie’s success during the awards season is still sinking in for everyone involved.
"We're overwhelmed and incredibly grateful," Bradley told ET. "You never know what's going to happen. I mean, we knew when we were making the movie that it felt special every day and that we were getting something that felt very authentic."
Bradley and Jennifer have so far been recognised at most of the major awards ceremonies, with Jennifer taking home a Golden Globe and SAG Award for her performance as Tiffany, a widow with anger issues.
Their sizzling onscreen chemistry has led to speculation they could have fallen for each other in real life. Despite recently denying they are dating, Bradley and Jennifer continued to fuel romance rumours as they attended the Vanity Fair, Barneys New York and The Weinstein Company celebration of Silver Linings Playbook in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.
The pair happily cuddled as they posed for photographers, with Jennifer looking stunning in a strapless black and cream dress.
Earlier this week, 22-year-old Jennifer also revealed she was looking forward to spending time with Bradley at the Oscars on Sunday.
"I'm confused, happy and really excited. I'll be able to drink this time. I was only 20 last time [when nominated for Winter's Bone]. So hopefully I'll be more comfortable. Or at least drunk..." Jennifer told a British magazine. "I keep thinking about sitting at the table with David [O. Russell, director] and Bradley Cooper - and wine - and I just think it will be an incredible feeling."
Jennifer is widely expected to win the best actress Academy Award.© Cover Media
