Charlie Sheen is "very real" says his co-star Noureen DeWulf.
Noureen plays rage-filled celebutante Lacey on Charlie's sitcom, Anger Management.
The actress was initially apprehensive about working with Charlie, but now has nothing but praise for the star.
“He’s very truthful and very real," Noureen told Access Hollywood. "We have a lot of fun and laugh a lot on set. The crew and the cast are very supportive of each other.”
Charlie, who has a history of substance abuse, was famously dumped from long-running sitcom Two and a Half Men in 2011. The actor had a highly-publicised meltdown before resurrecting his TV career in 2012, taking on the role of therapist Dr. Charlie Goodson in the Anger Management series.
“I didn’t know how it would be or what I was going to be walking into,” Noureen, 29, said. “[Charlie had] just had a lot of that, you know, attention on him for all the different things he was saying."
In the show, Lacey is in court-mandated therapy with Charlie, stemming from shooting her ex-boyfriend in the genitals after she caught him cheating. Noureen gets to unleash on unsuspecting victims in a way she’d never dare off-screen.
“I think [Lacey] is my favourite character that I’ve played to date because I get to release so much of the stuff inside of me,” she said. “It’s fun to really freak out on people and have an excuse to do that.”
Noureen also stars in Bachelor spoof Burning Love as cleavage-blessed fashion buyer Titi.
Executive produced by Ben Stiller, Burning Love began as a Yahoo! Screen web series before getting picked up for air on E!.© Cover Media
