12 Jun – Tijuana, Mexico is set as the location where the much anticipated third instalment of "The Hangover" will be based as it targets a May 2013 release.
"A lot of it will be shot in Los Angeles," a "secret source" was quoted as saying, "but then they are going to do the crazy scenes in Las Vegas again and then one wild week in Tijuana.", according to The Film Stage.
Despite not having the exact location spots in Tijuana, the director of the successful franchise has confirmed that the movie will serve as a finale to the gang's hung-over adventures.
"Obviously we always envisioned it as a trilogy," said director Todd Phillips a while back, "The third would be very much a finale and an ending... I haven't discussed it with these actors yet. [It would] not follow the same template, but is very much a new idea."
It is reported that the film's plot would involve Zach Galifianakis's Alan, admitted to a mental institution, only to be rescued by Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Stu (Ed Helms) later on.
"The Hangover" and "The Hangover Part II" boasts a worldwide gross of US $467 million and US $581 million respectively.
