10 Jan – One of Hong Kong's most influential director in Hollywood, John Woo recently revealed his interest to direct the third instalment of Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables".

Den of Geek website reported that in a recent interview, the "Reign of Assassins" director revealed his fondness of the movie, and stated, "It was very big in China and all over the news. It was a great movie. I saw it with my family. We all love the action. Van Damme made a believable villain."

Regarding rumours that fans are lobbying for him to direct "The Expendables 3", John Woo enthused, "I read that. I am a big fan of all of those guys and will do it but I want less studio and producer interference."

The director continued saying that if he was given the chance, he will shoot the movie the way he wants. "That's the difference in making a movie in China and Hollywood. In China, the studio and the producer allow flexibility to the director."

"One thing for sure is, I want it to take place in China," he finally concluded.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the production has been looking for new stars for the second sequel, including Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood and Wesley

Snipes. Meanwhile, it was reported that Nicolas Cage has already signed up for the third instalment.
