10 Nov – It was revealed that director Dante Lam is teaming up again with actor Nick Cheung for a new movie.
Twitchfilm reported that the "The Beast Stalker" director is helming a new movie titled "That Demon Within", and that Nick Cheung will once again play the villain in his movie.
However, another of Dante Lam's usual collaborator, Nicholas Tse, is absent from this movie and will be replaced with another action actor, Daniel Wu. Wu will be playing the role of a paranoid cop who believes that an ex-convict (Nick Cheung) is on a crime spree that only he can stop.
The partnership between Dante Lam and Nick Cheung has been turning out great films, with "The Beast Stalker" and "Stool Pigeon" being critical and public successes. They are one of the many fruitful director-actor collaborations in Hong Kong, besides director Wong Kar-wai and Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, John Woo and Chow Yun-fat.
"That Demon Within" begins production this winter and is slated for a release in summer 2013.
