5 Jun – After the success of her drama "Heartstrings" opposite CNBLUE's frontman Jung Yong-hwa, it was revealed that actress Park Shin-hye will be joining the cast of an upcoming comedy film titled "December 23".

According to Dkpopnews website, the actress's agency, 4HIM Entertainment revealed that Park has confirmed to be in the movie, playing a law student and the daughter of a mentally disabled man, played by Ryu Seung-ryoo.

The actress commented, "I teared up while reading the script for the first time. I was completely blown away with the story's ability to express sincerity, laughter, and sadness all in one," and hoped that she will be able to show a different side of herself through the movie.

"December 23" will be directed by Lee Hwang-kyun, starring Park Shin-hye, Jung Jin-yong, Oh Dal-soo and Kim Jung-tae. The film is slated to be released in theatres later this year.

Meanwhile, Park Shin-hye has been busy with overseas activities in Japan, including promotions for her drama, "Heartstrings" that will be aired in the country soon.
