Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen's hair stylist Jason Cooking says “tonal fusion” is the hottest trend of the season.

The celebrity hairdresser revealed that he prefers a more natural blend of the fashionable omber and dip-dye coloring methods. Jason said that for a less harsh look, fans of two-tone color should ask for softer tones at the salon.

“Right now, the trend I’m loving most is tonal fusion hair coloring. Forget blunt and bright dip dyes, choose muted, more natural shades to create seamless and beautiful looking hair,” he told UK magazine Closer.

The star stylist also shared one his favorite day-to-night looks. Jason revealed how to go from an office-suitable style to a party do in just a few simple steps.

“Braid your hair when it’s still damp and fix with a spritz of Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. After work, tease loose for a tousled party look," he advised.

For those with natural curls, the hair expert recommend a must-have tool to keep tangles at bay.

“Tackle knotted locks with a Tangle Teezer. It’s a brilliant invention with flexible bristles that brush through locks easily and painlessly - a beach-bag essential,” he said.
