7 Dec – 45-year-old Veronica Yip has just returned to Hong Kong for her acting comeback after a 16-year hiatus, and the media were all surprised with her modest appearance.

Popular Asians reported that according to sources, despite her wealthy status, Veronica did not show any superior attitude on set of "I Love Hong Kong 2013". The actress, who was without an assistant, was seen leaving to set in a company van and was also sheltering from the rain with the other cast members, under a canopy of a large tent.

Other cast members were also full of praises for Veronica. Jacqueline Chong said, "Veronica has no airs. We don't feel awkward around her. She also gave advice to the younger actors."

Meanwhile, the actress admitted that living in the United States for 16 years caused her a bit of a problem to speak in Cantonese.

She admitted, "At first, I was stunned when I realised that I couldn't read the script fluently. I wonder if it was a mistake to agree to take on this role!"

However, after a short adjustment, she soon found herself speaking the language with ease.

In the Eric Tsang-produced "I Love HK 2013", Veronica plays the wife of Alan Tam's character. Wong Cho Lam is cast as their eldest son and Jacqueline Chong, as Wong Cho Lam's wife. Meanwhile, Lai Lok Yi will act as Veronica and Alan's younger son.

The movie is slated for Chinese New Year release.
