18 Mar – Director Bryan Singer could not wait to express his excitement for the latest cast of "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" as he recently announced that Chinese actress Fan Bingbing will be joining the sequel of the Marvel superhero film prequel, "X-Men: First Class" according to MTV UK.

After making appearance in this year's summer superhero blockbuster "Iron Man 3", the Qingdao-born actress got herself another shot in Hollywood by playing teleporting mutant Blink in the film alongside the original cast of "X-Men" (2000) which includes Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, and the stars in "X-Men: First Class" (2011) such as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.

Furthermore, Daniel Cudmore will reprise his role as Colossus and "Twilight" star Booboo Stewart has been recruited to play a yet-to-be-announced character in Singer's directorial effort.

Fan was previously seen in box-office record breaking Chinese films like "Double Exposure" and "Lost In Thailand". This year, the 31-year-old will be shooting "The Lady In The Portrait", "The Moon And The Sun" and Empress Wu Ze Tian". It was also reported that the 2006 Golden Horse Award winner is in talks to star in the sequel of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

Singer's most recent box office success is "Jack The Giant Slayer", a loose adaptation of "Jack And The Beanstalk" about a farmer boy named Jack who tries to save the princess from the race of giants but unfortunately triggers a war between the humans and giants.

Set in the 1970s, "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" is set to start production on 18 July 2013.
